Last night the night sky opened up the roof where
Johnny D Shannon three pillows several blankets an iPod dock
A tall glass of water and I slept until about 3 o’clock
Only Johnny D Shannon and I were drunk whereas
The night sky seemed to glow warmly in the wind like
Sleeping on a quiet ocean in your dreams and like
Having seven blankets wrapping you in the sky
The night sky never quite opening up to give the morning it
Was as if you were that sky when it greeted me.
