A tip of my hat to the photo editor at The Economist for his part in this week’s article on the abortion rights debate currently taking place in Mexico. No doubt there were thousands of frames shot by their photojournalists depicting the two sides of the debate, from which he could choose only one to illustrate the short article.
After what I’m sure was a grueling look through those thousands of shots, and what I’m sure was a deep, heartfelt belly-laugh shared with his coworkers, his stoic British sensibilities led him to choose this image above all others:
