Having been listening to the various Otis Redding albums that done been Pando'd recently, I've been looking into the life and times of the late, great Sultan of Soul. Otis would've celebrated his 66th birthday last Sunday. Unfortunately for all of us, he died in a plane crash almost 30 years ago, his body gruesomely dredged the following day from the bottom of Wisconsin's Lake Monona by a grappling hook.
So what? Well, in my reading, it struck me: by the time he was my age, Otis Redding had been dead nearly two years.
Oh yeah… we at The Jo-Tel are really doing shit with our lives.
