If I can get off of my ass and initiate the graduate school application process, I’m going to, well, go to graduate school. I’ve been thinking about what I should study while there. This morning was a particular morning of thinking as I was up early, had a large coffee seeping into my blood […]

Trial and Folly at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House
June 4th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Last night Shannon and I attended the San Francisco Opera’s interpretation of Das Rheingold, an opera written by Nietzche’s Favorite, Wagner (update: so perhaps its a bit glib for me to say Wagner was Nietzche’s favorite, as loyal Jo-Tel readers know that Nietzche’s relationship with the composer is complicated).
True to rigid German form, the Opera […]

I Got Loaded and Slept on the Roof Last Night and All I Have to Show For it is this Stupid T-Shirt

Last night was the 15th anniversary of a local German restaurant, Suppenküche. As German restaurants go, Suppenküche has a great beer selection. As anniversaries go, the beer selection was heavily discounted (I currently have a very cheap hangover). To make things even better, the bartender is a friend of ours. Shark, […]

The Jo-Tel Doing Normal Activities: Cleaning the Refrigerator
February 28th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Yes, even we at the Jo-Tel clean every once in a while. Sometimes, we'll let the maid go home early and we'll get our hands dirty and do things that normal everyday people do, like "Going to Work", and "Eating Yummy Carbs", and in this case "Cleaning out the Refrigerator".

The best science blog shouldn't be awarded for political reasons. Vote Bad Astronomy best science blog. Its really fun to read, it exists for the pleasure of science itself. I think that this […]
