A Hip E. Classic

Today is my day off. This morning, while completing a particularly relaxing deucification along with my trusty copy of Darwin’s Dangerous Idea (8 pages from the end!), I noticed that we are severely out of TP in the northernmost shitter of the Jo-tel. The details of my extraction from this situation are immaterial.

Next, I had a long breakfast at Polker’s, waited on by Lucy, one of my favorite waitresses in this Fair City. Always a pleasant day-off experience. Then I walked all the way down to Walgreen’s to do my civic duty and buy a bunch of TP and some bar soap. I got home and was checking my email when I heard nature calling me once again. I dug Darwin’s Dangerous Idea out of the Walgreen’s bag, where it sat right next to the soap and the enormous package of TP, and walked down the hall to do my business. Ten to fifteen pages later, I realized what I had done, and laughed.

I’ve got a few more things to post about today, but first I have to make a dent in my To Do list:
- buy TP
- clean bathroom
- do laundry
- return some texts and emails
- file Shark & Patsy’s marriage license with the County of San Francisco
- return the tuxedos
- meet new Jo-tel roommate candidate @ 6:00
- find best possible discount on a Macbook
- pando out the new Fiery Furnaces live album
- write blog post about Ramco brand Dick Spray
- finish Darwin’s Dangerous Idea
- make S&P’s bed & sort the mail
- retrieve ATM card from Bank of America downtown

Things I probably won’t have time to blog about today: the Pale Blue Dot picture, the Fiery Furnaces concert last night, B2B pictures post including recently surfaced evidence that I’ve been lying about not having gotten naked this year for the last two weeks, S&P wedding pictures post, the success of the movie Tremors based mostly on its invocation of the childhood game of Lava, and… wait, what was I just talking about?
